Aircraft deliveries from Airbus and Boeing accelerated in March as the two major manufacturers delivered 90 new aircraft to their global customers.
Airbus: 48 deliveries to 35 customers
A320s were again the most popular aircraft type delivered this month by Airbus representing over 40% of all March deliveries. Thirteen of the smaller A319s were delivered to nine different airlines while a single A380 was delivered to Singapore Airlines.

Lufthansa received four new Airbus aircraft (of three different types) while Air France and easyJet each received three new aircraft.
Boeing: 42 deliveries to 22 customers
Three-quarters of Boeing’s deliveries in March were again 737 derivatives though eight 777s were also delivered plus a single 747-400 freighter and a 767 (to an unidentified customer).

Ryanair received seven new -800s while Southwest took delivery of another four -700s. For the second month running Continental took delivery of three new aircraft.
Delivery rate increases in March
Deliveries rose from 77 in February to 90 in March. Single-aisle aircraft continue to make up 80% of deliveries from the two major manufacturers.
