anna.aero and ACI EUROPE push ahead with “The Airport Exchange at Airport Exchange”

Shannon’s director, Martin Moroney, would like a route to a low cost airport “near Munich” but has not yet met Ralf Schmid managing director of low cost Munich West/Allgäu Airport. Airport Exchange at Airport Exchange will allow nice airport people like this to meet so they can work out together how they can get the services they want.

“The demand is simple but true,” explained Paul Hogan, anna.aero’s publisher. “Many airports market the potential of a new city pair without even talking to the airport at the ‘other end’ of a hoped-for service, let alone cooperating to present a single, joined-up business plan. Airlines also complain that the respective airports on a particular route offer conflicting evidence of its viability.”

In Barcelona the one-2-one sessions will be take place each afternoon and will require appointments. Full details, and a list of airports wanting to explore developing joint plans with other airports (including several prominent low-cost bases) will be published next month with the conference programme.

Please visit the ACI EUROPE airport exchange website for more information and to sign up for the conference newsletter.
