Iberia launches new routes from Mallorca and Ibiza to Nimes and Marseille
Iberia – the airline analysed this week – launched two new regional, seasonal routes from the Balearic Islands to southern France in the last week. On 23 July, the airline began operating once a week from Palma de Mallorca (PMI) to Nimes (FNI), a distance of 490 kilometres. The following day, the airline began flying twice-weekly from Ibiza (IBZ) to Marseille (MRS), a 600-kilometre route. Both new services are operated by Air Nostrum with 50-seat CRJ200 aircraft. Iberia already serves Marseille from Madrid and Barcelona, but Nimes is new to the Iberia network.
