- Vueling continued expanding its French base at Toulouse (TLS), which was launched in April. On 3 October, the Spanish airline launched the French domestic route to Lille (LIL) in the north of the country. Flights operate six times weekly (daily except Saturdays) with the A319 aircraft based in the southern French city. Competition comes from Air France’s 18 flights a week. Last year almost 86,000 passengers travelled by air between the two airports, down 6% on 2009. However, In the first six months of 2011 demand is up 20% to almost 50,000. According to the airline’s booking tool flights to Ibiza, Prague and Tenerife Sur which operated during the summer, will not be operated this winter.
