Aeroflot launches route between Moscow and Colombo

  • Aeroflot continued expanding its Asian network, on 1 November relaunching flights to Sri Lanka’s capital Colombo (CMB) from its Moscow Sheremetyevo (SVO) hub. The route is operated twice-weekly, on Tuesdays and Fridays, during the winter season with the airline’s 218-seat 767-300ERs. This is the only non-stop service between Russia and Sri Lanka since Aeroflot dropped the same route in 2004, but SriLankan Airlines also operates a twice-weekly stopping service between Colombo and Moscow Domodedovo, via Dubai. Please note that we now have additional pictures from last week’s Aeroflot launch to Ho Chi Minh City.
