Czech Airlines launches new route to Baku in Azerbaijan

• Czech Airlines is currently going through a major overhaul of its network and on 18 December relaunched services between its Prague (PRG) hub and Baku (GYD) in Azerbaijan, a move that is in line with the airline’s previously announced strategy of focusing on Eastern European markets. Flights operate once a week with A320 aircraft, competing with Azerbaijan Airlines’ twice-weekly service. Czech Airlines previously operated the 2,970-kilometre route between 2004 and 2006.
