Jetstar Asia launches new route from Singapore to Vietnam’s capital Hanoi

• Jetstar Asia launched its second route to Vietnam on 15 December when the Singapore (SIN) based low-cost carrier began serving the Vietnamese capital Hanoi (HAN), complementing its services to Ho Chi Minh City that have operated since 2007. The four weekly flights, which are operated with the airline’s 180-seat A320s, compete with Vietnam Airlines’ 11 flights a week as well as Singapore Airlines’ and Tiger Airways’ each daily flights. Jetstar Group CEO Mr Bruce Buchanan commented: “This service will complement and build on the existing domestic services already operated by Jetstar Pacific within Vietnam.”
