The governor of Istanbul, Ahmed Aydin, and Turkish Airlines’ CEO, Dr Temel Kotil, were made welcome to Rwanda by the country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Louise Mushikiwabo, and Minister of Infrastructure, Albert Nsengiyumva.
- On 16 May, Turkish Airlines commenced services to its 16th African destination from Istanbul Atatürk (IST). Flights to the Rwandan capital Kigali (KGL) will depart with thrice-weekly frequencies, and proceed via Entebbe in Uganda on the return leg. Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Louise Mushikiwabo, said: “We want to benefit from this route as Turkish investors explore the Rwandan market. Rwandans should also see what to offer to that market.”
