SilkAir launches flights from Singapore to Vietnam’s capital Hanoi
- SilkAir, Singapore Airlines’ regional subsidiary, became the fifth operator on the route between Singapore (SIN) and Vietnam’s capital Hanoi (HAN) on 5 June. Its thrice-weekly operations, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, complement its parent Singapore Airlines’ daily operations as well as competing with Vietnam Airlines’ daily flights, Tiger Airways’ five flights a week and Jetstar Asia’s four weekly flights. Singapore Airlines’ SVP Marketing Tan Chik Quee said: “Singapore Airlines and SilkAir have always sought to increase the synergy in our combined network of 97 cities in 37 countries, and enhance the connectivity options available to our customers. We are therefore delighted that the new SilkAir flights to Hanoi will be an ideal complement to the services already offered by Singapore Airlines.”
