TAME launches new domestic service from Quito to Tena

Milton Carrera, Napo Province Governor; Rafael Farias, TAME’s CEO; Fernando Guerrero, General Director, Aviación Civil; and Carlos Jácome, Subsecretary, Aeronáutica Civil; arrived in Tena to launch the Ecuadorian airline’s 15th destination.

  • On 5 June, Ecuador’s national carrier TAME commenced thrice-weekly flights from its base in Quito (UIO) to Tena (TNW), the capital of Napo province, which is located in the Ecuadorian Amazon rainforest. All flights will be operated with the airline’s fleet of ATR42s. Carlos Jácome, Aeronáutica Civil’s Subsecretary, said: “We are very pleased with this service, which further increases connectivity within the country, and becomes a gateway for Amazonia.”
