germanwings launches new route from Basel to Pristina
- germanwings has expanded its network to Kosovo’s capital Pristina (PRN). On 30 June, Lufthansa’s low-cost subsidiary began operating a route from Basel (BSL) in Switzerland as part of a ‘W routing’. For regulatory reasons, the airline does, however, use the French Mulhouse (MLH) code, which the border airport also uses. germanwings operates the route once a week with its A319 aircraft. Competition comes from easyJet’s four flights a week. This is germanwings’ ninth route to Pristina after flights from eight German airports.
