Dragonair launches flights to Chiang Mai in Thailand

  • Cathay Pacific’s subsidiary Dragonair launched its second route to Thailand on 1 July when the airline began operating between its Hong Kong (HKG) hub and Chiang Mai (CNX) in northern Thailand, complementing its flights to the resort island of Phuket. Flights on the new route operate four times weekly with A320 aircraft. Although the airline faces no direct competition, Thai AirAsia indirectly competes with its daily flights from Chiang Mai to Macau.
