Norwegian launches new routes to the Mediterranean from Oslo and Copenhagen
- Norwegian launched five new routes out of the capitals of Denmark and Norway in the last week. The two routes out of Copenhagen (CPH) both face competition, whereas the three routes from Oslo (OSL) – notably all to Mediterranean islands – are uncontested. France’s second-largest city Marseille (MRS) on the Mediterranean coast is notably a new destination for the Nordic LCC. The fast-growing French airport recently became a base for Air France, which provides competition on the route from the capital of Denmark. All routes except the year-round service to Milan Malpensa (MXP) operate during the summer peak season only, ending in mid-September.
