Airport employees see off StarFlyer's first regular overseas from Kitakyushu to Busan, South Korea.
- On 12 July, StarFlyer inaugurated services on the 240-kilometre route across the Korea Strait, connecting Kitakyushu (KKJ) in the Japanese Fukuoka province and Busan (PUS) in South Korea. Shinichi Yonehara, StarFlyer’s CEO, said: “We will make every effort to become a bridge for Japan and South Korea. We are keen to explore further opportunities for international expansion.” Twice-daily flights geared at passengers returning on the same day are offered on the route. All flights will be operated with the airline’s A320s.
