Zurich Airport and Emirates jointly celebrated the 20th anniversary of the airline’s service connecting Dubai with the Swiss city. In addition to twice-daily flights on the route, Emirates also offers daily services from Dubai to Geneva in Switzerland.

Ryanair welcomed its two-millionth passenger at Allgäu Airport Memmingen in southern Germany.

Ryanair welcomed its two-millionth passenger at Allgäu Airport Memmingen in southern Germany since it launched its operation there in April 2009. Celebrating at the German airport were Ryanair’s Henrike Schmidt, Sales and Marketing Manager; the lucky and surprised Donal Glennon with family; and the airport’s Head of Business Development, Marcel Schütz.

Luxembourg’s all-cargo airline Cargolux landed at the EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg with its shiny new 747-8F last week, while heading to Kuwait stocked up with Swiss export goods. The landing marked the first time ever for a new generation cargo aircraft to visit EuroAirport and the first time a 747-8 touches down in Switzerland.
