Iberia resumes domestic flights between Barcelona and Valencia

• Iberia, the Spanish flag carrier, returned on the domestic route connecting two major cities on the Mediterranean coast. Beginning on 3 September, flights from Barcelona (BCN) to Valencia (VLC) are offered with 11 weekly frequencies. All services on the 300-kilometre route will be operated by the regional airline Air Nostrum on Iberia’s behalf, using 50-seat CRJ200s. Iberia dropped the route from its network in October last year, but now resumes services as the previous competitor on the route, Spanair, has ceased operating.
