Aeroflot’s first flight from Moscow Sheremetyevo to Tallinn was in fact a return of the airline – the Russian flag carrier served Estonia’s capital until 12 years ago.
- Aeroflot commenced operations on six new international routes from its hub at Moscow Sheremetyevo (SVO), including services to Turkmenistan’s second-largest airport, Ashgabat (ASB), and to Samarkand (SKD), Uzbekistan’s second-largest city. The Russian carrier also added Miami, FL (MIA) as its fourth US destination from the Moscow airport, and returned to the Estonian capital, Tallinn (TLL), which it last served 12 years ago. Indirect competition on the Miami route comes from Transaero’s two weekly flights from Moscow Domodedovo to the Florida city.
