Bagpipe players created a Scottish atmosphere at Brussels Airport as the winter scheduling season started. Brussels Airlines now serves Edinburgh with six weekly flights.

  • Brussels Airlines added another UK destination to its network on 28 October when the Belgian airline began operating from its Brussels (BRU) hub to Scotland’s capital Edinburgh (EDI). Flights now operate six times a week with 141-seat A319 aircraft, doubling to 12 weekly flights when the summer scheduling season starts at the end of March next year. Brussels Airlines previously codeshared on the route with its Star Alliance partner bmi, but competition on the route now comes from the successor airline bmi regional’s 18 flights a week.
