When the regional airline NextJet began flying from Stockholm Arlanda to Växjö in Sweden’s Småland region – known for its forests with elk/moose – passengers were treated with a special moose cake by Smaland Airport and Lena Stockhaus, NextJet’s Brand & Sponsorship Manager.
- NextJet, the Swedish regional airline, took over a domestic route from the virtual airline Sverigeflyg/Flysmaland on 28 October. Previously operated on behalf of Flysmaland, the route between Stockholm Arlanda (ARN) and Växjö (VXO) in the Swedish region Småland in the southern part of the county is now operated under NextJet’s own name. The airline operates 16 flights a week with Saab 340 aircraft. Indirect competition comes from Flysmaland’s 18 weekly flights from Stockholm Bromma.
