- Qatar Airways began serving Tokyo Narita (NRT) non-stop from its Doha (DOH) hub on 28 October. The fast-growing MEB3 airline due to join oneworld previously operated to Tokyo via Osaka Kansai. The new non-stop service to the hub of its future alliance partner JAL is operated daily with 259-seat 777-200LR aircraft.
