- SilkAir inaugurated flights on its eighth Indian route on 28 October. The airline now flied thrice-weekly from Singapore (SIN) to Vishakhapatnam (VTZ), a large port city on the eastern coast of India. All flights on the 2,900-kilometre route across the Bay of Bengal are operated using the airline’s fleet of A319s.
