Aeroflot links Moscow Sheremetyevo with Tenerife South

• Aeroflot, which last week added six new routes from its Moscow Sheremetevo (SVO) base, continued to expand its network from the Russian airport with services to Tenerife South (TFS) in the Spanish Canary Islands, which commenced on 30 October. The 5,300-kilometre routing across Europe is offered with twice-weekly frequencies and will be operated using Ilyushin Il-96-300 aircraft with capacity for 282 passengers. There is no direct competition on the route, although Transaero and VIM Airlines compete indirectly serving Tenerife South from Moscow Domodedovo, each with weekly flights.
