Lufthansa launches seasonal services from Berlin Tegel to Innsbruck

  • Lufthansa started flying from Berlin Tegel (TXL) to Innsbruck (INN) on 15 December. Thrice-weekly services will be operated using A320-family aircraft in two-class configuration until the end of March 2013. Competition of the 600-kilometre trans-border route comes from airberlin, which also offers three weekly departures. Reinhold Falch, Innsbruck Airport’s Director, said: “For winter 2012/13, we anticipate the busiest season ever, as services from 15 scheduled and 17 charter operators are now on offer. Lufthansa’s new route is initially scheduled until the end of March, but we hope for it to be extended beyond that point.”
