
Belavia’s inaugural flight from Minsk to Barcelona, here pictured while pulling into the gate in Terminal 2 of the Spanish airport, was operated with the airline’s 737-500; however, the airline’s new E-175 will be deployed to serve the route, offering 12 seats in business and 64 in economy.
- On 26 December, Belarusian flag carrier Belavia connected country’s capital Minsk (MSQ) with Barcelona (BCN). The airline operates twice-weekly frequencies on this 2,400-kilometre route, using variable narrow-body equipment. The route has been served before with occasional charter services, but never on a scheduled basis; furthermore, Barcelona is now the only Spanish destination, for which direct services are available from Belarus.
