Reception at the gate and surprise gifts awaited passengers departing on Southwest inaugural flight from Ontario, CA, to Reno, NV – also known as “the biggest little city in the world” – a popular starting point for ski-lovers.
- Southwest Airlines expanded its network with five new routes on 6 January. All flights are performed using the airline’s fleet of 737-family aircraft and the airline faces competition on two routes – from Fort Lauderdale, FL (FLL) to Phoenix, AZ (PHX), and from Nashville, TN (BNA) to New York LaGuardia, NY (LGA).
