- China Eastern Airlines inaugurated services from its Shanghai Pudong (PVG) hub to Sendai (SDJ) in the Japanese Miyagi Prefecture, making it the 17th destination it serves in the country. Four-weekly flights are operated on the 1,900- kilometre route using A320s.
