Last week, Sheremetyevo Airport was named the best European Airport in terms of service quality by ACI Europe. The airport’s CEO, Mikhail Vasilenko, presented the news to the media at his annual press conference, taking the opportunity to thank the team for their professionalism and commitment.

Jet2.com was awarded with a Portugal Travel Award last week as the Best International Operator. Janice Mather, Jet2.com’s GM Airports and Tourism Organisations, received the award on behalf of the airline in Lisbon. Jet2.com currently serves Faro and Madeira.

London City Airport celebrated the increasing number of young female business travellers on the occasion of International Women’s Day. Matthew Hall, Chief Commercial Officer, said: “The proportion of male and female passengers travelling through the airport has remained stable over the last few years at around 60/40. However, the increase in younger women travelling is interesting and suggests a lifestyle shift in this age group.” Posing for a commemorative picture was Louise Bouverat, a London-based senior manager from the conferences sector.
