Official event in Quito preceded the launch of TAME’s new service to Buenos Aires. Speaking during the event was Patricio Cattán, the airline’s Director Sales, who said: “With strong ties between Ecuador and Argentina, we expect load factors to surpass 80% on this new daily service.”
- TAME inaugurated services on the 4,400-kilometre route from Quito (UIO) to Buenos Aires Ezeiza (EZE) on 7 June, making the Argentine capital its fourth international destination following Bogota, Caracas and Lima. A daily schedule is operated on the new route using A319s in competition with LAN Airlines’ five weekly departures. The Ecuadorian airline is planning to further grow its international offering from Quito with the addition of A330-operated services to New York in August.
