Pegasus Airlines lands in Athens with daily services

Historic low cost daily links by Pegasus between Athens and Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport start at less than €50. Reminders are painted on the sides (and insides) of Athens' trams.
- Pegasus Airlines commenced flying on the 600-kilometre route from its Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen (SAW) base to Athens (ATH) on 29 June. Daily flights are offered on the newly launched route and operated using the airline’s fleet of 737-800s. Indirect competition between Istanbul Atatürk and Athens is provided by Turkish Airlines (25 weekly flights), Olympic Air (13) and Aegean Airlines (seven).
