- mango, the low-cost airline of South African Airways (SAA), has started a new route between Johannesburg (JNB) and George (GRJ). Flights on the 1,030-kilometre route will operate thrice-weekly (Mondays, Fridays and Sundays) using the airline’s sole 737-300 (it also has eight 737-800s), though the launch flight was operated using a -800. Competition is provided by Kulula.com with 23 weekly flights, and parent company SAA, who provide 20 weekly flights using a mix of CRJ 700s, CRJ 200s and Q400s operated by SA Express.
