Sunwing Airlines starts two seasonal winter sun routes from Canada
Sunwing Airlines, the in-house airline of Sunwing Travel Group in Canada, has launched two new seasonal ‘winter sun’ routes in the last week. On Sunday 15 December the airline commenced weekly flights on the 3,640-kilometre route between Toronto (YYZ) and Curaçao (CUR) in the Dutch Antilles, facing competition from both Air Canada and WestJet who also operate weekly flights. On Monday 16 December Sunwing Airlines started weekly flights between Montreal (YUL) and Aruba (AUA), a 3,670-kilometre route that no other carrier serves. Both routes will be operated by the airline’s 189-seat 737-800s, of which it currently has 19. According to the airline’s on-line booking tool it offers flights from 33 Canadian airports.
