THAI Smile connects Bangkok with Luang Prabang in Laos
THAI Smile has become the third carrier to offer non-stop flights between Bangkok Suvarnabhumi (BKK) and Luang Prabang (LPQ) in Laos. On 15 December the airline began four times weekly flights on the 680-kilometre route, which is already served by Bangkok Airways (twice-daily) and Lao Airlines (daily). A320s will be used to operate the route, which becomes the airline’s seventh international destination from Thailand’s busiest airport. Luang Prabang has become popular with tourists for its ancient culture and relaxed lifestyle and is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site.
