- AirAsia Zest has further expanded its operations at Cebu (CEB) with the addition of thrice-weekly A320 services to Kota Kinabalu (BKI) in Malaysia. The airline launched flights on the 990-kilometre sector on 19 December, and will not face any direct competition. This brings to seven the number of destinations served by the airline from Cebu, and is the airline’s second route to Malaysia after Kuala Lumpur. Of the airline’s 10 daily flights from Cebu, five are on the 560-kilometre domestic route to Manila.
