Nok Air welcomed passengers on its new service from Bangkok Don Mueang to Krabi, which launched on 1 January. The airline’s twice-daily flights will compete directly with Thai AirAsia’s eight daily flights. This winter, Nok Air is operating 30% more flights than last winter, while its network has grown from 23 to 28 routes.
- Nok Air started 2014 by launching a new domestic route on 1 January from Bangkok Don Mueang (DMK) to Krabi (KBV). The LCC, which will celebrate its 10th anniversary later this year, operates the 680-kilometre route with twice-daily 737-800 flights, and will compete head-to-head with Thai AirAsia’s eight daily flights. Nok Air has previously served this route in 2007 and 2008. This winter, Nok Air will be operating 30% more flights than it did last winter, having increased its route network from 23 to 28 routes, and having added frequency on many other routes.
