  • Citilink has become the first airline to launch scheduled services at Jakarta Halim (HLP), an airport previously only used by the Indonesian military and a small number of charter airlines. On Friday 10 January a Citilink A320 touched down at the airport, beginning a process whereby a number of airlines plan to move flights from Jakarta’s congested Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. Initially Citilink, a subsidiary of Garuda Indonesia, will operate eight daily departures and arrivals at the airport, across four domestic routes, without facing any direct competition.
