CONNECT Marrakech launches 2014 Programme
OK, it’s still French-tasting, but while it’s now called plain “CONNECT” the programme for the conference for “future networks across Europe and beyond” (the “beyond” bit being this year’s north-west African Marrakech location) is far from minimalist, packing spicy Hungarian flavours along with staple Irish carbohydrates, and many other European and American delicacies.
This is a logical progression for this event because, despite its strong French connections, this conference in fact originated in the UK – in Liverpool, and then alongside the opening of Doncaster-Sheffield – and has also been held in Shannon.
CONNECT 2014 is the 11th edition and will be hosted by the Moroccan Airports Authority (an operator of 25 airports) in this tourist centre which is now easily accessed by low-cost airlines from across Europe. Over 300 participants have already confirmed their attendance, with 150 airports and 50 airlines expected to attend.
