Meridiana adds third route to London Gatwick
- Meridiana has chosen Naples (NAP) as the third airport in its network to be connected with London Gatwick (LGW). On 30 March the airline began thrice-weekly flights on the 1,595-kilometre route, using Air Italy’s 737s. Frequency will rise to five weekly flights in the peak summer period. Competition on the airport pair is provided by British Airways (17 weekly flights) and easyJet (10 weekly flights). Meridiana already serves London’s second busiest airport during the peak summer season from Cagliari and Olbia.
