China Airlines commences two new international routes

  • China Airlines has added two more routes to its international network. On 2 April the airline launched twice-weekly (Wednesdays and Saturdays) flights on the 315-kilometre route from Taipei Taoyuan (TPE) to Ishigaki (ISG) in Japan, while the following day weekly (Thursday) flights on the 810-kilometre route between Kaohsiung (KHH) and Nanchang (KHN) in China commenced. Both routes will be operated by the airline’s 737-800s and the only competition is on the Ishigaki route which is also served by TransAsia Airways with twice-weekly flights.
