Jambojet commences operations with three Kenyan domestic routes

On 1 April, Kenya Airways’ latest low-cost subsidiary launched operations with three new domestic routes from Nairobi to Kisumu, Eldoret and Mombasa, utilising its 737-300s.

  • Jambojet, Kenya Airways’ low-cost subsidiary, launched first operations on 1 April, with three domestic routes from Nairobi (NBO), all of which are operated by its 142-seat 737-300s. The new start-up will fly to Kisumu (KIS) with twice-daily flights, to Eldoret (EDL) ten times weekly, as well as to Mombasa (MBA) with 38 weekly operations. While all three services are already served by its parent company, they will also face direct competition from: Five Forty Aviation (14) to Kisumu; Five Forty Aviation (7) to Eldoret; Five Forty Aviation (27) and East African Safari Air (2) to Mombasa.
