- airBaltic, the flag carrier of Latvia, commenced another European route, with the resumption of services from Riga (RIX) to Gothenburg (GOT) on 14 April, after they were last operated in April 2011. The 711-kilometre sector to the second largest city in Sweden will be served four times weekly, utilising the airline’s 76-seat Q400s. airBaltic’s second route to Sweden, as it already flies to Stockholm Arlanda with four daily flights, will face no competition from other carriers.
