SWISS strengthens its Geneva network with four new routes

  • SWISS, which in the previous week added operations from Geneva to Pristina in Kosovo, increased its European network with four new routes from its Geneva (GVA) base, utilising a mixed fleet of its 138-seat A319s and 168-seat A320s. With the longest sector being the 2,005-kilometre weekly service (Saturdays) to Heraklion (HER) launched on 12 April, and the shortest being inaugurated to Rome Fiumicino (FCO) on 11 April at 695 kilometres, the Star Alliance member will face competition on all four routes, notably from easyJet. In addition, flights to Greece will see a frequency increase to twice-weekly from 27 May.
