Meridiana makes a move into Cagliari to Malpensa market

  • Meridiana has started services on its sixth domestic route from Cagliari (CAG), linking the Sardinian capital with Milan Malpensa (MXP), initially on a twice-weekly (Tuesdays and Fridays) basis. The route is clearly highly seasonal, as it takes a ‘break’ after the initial two weekly flights until 16 May, when it re-starts, and gradually builds to twice-daily (from 1 July), before closing on 29 September. The operation began on 18 April and will be flown by a variety of the airline’s equipment. easyJet is currently flying the route with an eight times weekly service on the 710-kilometre sector.
