  • Skymark Airlines, which will receive its first A380 later this summer, has launched two more domestic routes from its base at Ibaraki (IBR) near Tokyo. On 18 April it launched daily flights on the 360-kilometre route to Nagoya Chubu (NGO), and twice-daily flights on the 950-kilometre route to Fukuoka (FUK). Both routes will be operated by the airline’s 177-seat 737-800s. Neither route faces direct competition. Skymark already operates non-stop flights to Sapporo Chitose and Kobe from Ibaraki.
