- airBaltic, the flag carrier of Latvia, increased its European offering with the launch of a new route from its Riga (RIX) hub to Bucharest (OTP) on 2 June. The 1,392-kilometre sector to the Romanian capital will be operated thrice-weekly utilising the airline’s 76-seat Q400s. There is no competition on this airport pair.
