Lufthansa expands its seasonal offering with two routes from Munich

On 5 June, Munich Airport celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the gate, the inaugural flight of Lufthansa’s daily flights to Toronto Pearson.

  • Lufthansa expanded its seasonal offering during the course of last week with two new routes, both of which were launched from Munich (MUC). With the longest sector being the 6,659-kilometre service to Toronto Pearson (YYZ) launched on 5 June and operated daily until 24 October by its 217-seat A330-300s, and the shortest being inaugurated with weekly flights (Sundays) on 8 June to Bodrum (BJV) in Turkey at 1,783 kilometres, the Star Alliance member will face competition only on the route to Canada, from Air Canada’s daily operations. In addition, the services to Turkey will be operated until 2 November, utilising a mixed fleet of the carrier’s 168-seat A320s and 200-seat A321s.
