Jetstar Asia has started flights to Fukuoka by extending its Singapore-Bangkok service to the Japanese city. This becomes the Singapore-based carrier’s first destination in Japan. The service will operate daily and the Bangkok-Fukuoka sector will face competition from Thai Airways’ daily flights.
- Jetstar Asia on 26 June extended its existing Singapore to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi (BKK) service to Fukuoka (FUK) in Japan. This new 3,720-kilometre sector will operate daily utilising the airline’s A320s and will face direct competition from Thai Airways’ daily service. This is Jetstar Asia’s first foray into the Japanese market. Having launched operations in December 2004, it currently serves 16 destinations non-stop from its base at Singapore Changi Airport.
