On 24 June, Las Vegas Airport celebrated WestJet’s new service to Fort McMurray with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the gate. Shame the first departure looks like it was delayed a bit.
- WestJet, the Canadian low-cost carrier, expanded its seasonal offering with the launch of a new route from Fort McMurray (YMM) to Las Vegas, NV (LAS) on 24 June. The carrier launched twice-weekly services (Tuesdays and Saturdays) on the 2,306-kilometre sector until 25 October, which is served utilising its 174-seat 737-800s. There is no competition on WestJet’s new airport pair.
