On 2 July, Tulsa Airport welcomed a new carrier, namely US Airways’ twice-daily operations from Charlotte Douglas. The arrival was celebrated with cookies and a ribbon cutting at the gate.
- US Airways expanded its domestic offering with two new services from Charlotte Douglas, NC (CLT), both of which are flown with twice-daily operations. With the longest sector being the 1,514-kilometre route to Oklahoma City, OK (OKC) operated by the airline’s 79-seat CRJ 900s, and the shortest being served by its 67-seat CRJ 700s to Tulsa, OK (TUL), the oneworld member will face no competition on either of the new airport pairs.
