AirAsia India starts its third route – linking Bangalore and Kochi

  • AirAsia India, the latest sub-brand of the LCC AirAsia mega-brand, has added its third domestic route from its Bangalore (BLR) base, the world’s 124th busiest airport, with daily Kochi (COK) services. Flown by the airline’s 180-seat A320s, the route began on 20 July and will face competition from nearly 50 existing weekly services. These are split between the four incumbents – Jet Airways (20), Alliance Air (nine), Spicejet (seven) and IndiGo (six).
