Malindo Air starts two new domestic routes with ATRs
Malindo Air, the Malaysian subsidiary of Indonesia’s Lion Air, has added two more routes to its rapidly expanding domestic network. On 23 July the airline began daily flights on the 552-kilometre sector between Johor Bahru (JHB) and Penang (PEN), competing with AirAsia’s daily flights. On the same day the carrier began operating five weekly flights between Kuala Lumpur Subang (SZB) and Kuantan (KUA). There is no competition on this route. Both routes will be served by the airline’s ATR 72-600s.
